Vijit Pillai is a well-recognized international artist and a pioneer of Neo -Mughal art within the mixed-media style. An ex-advertising professional turned artist, he has conducted several successful solo and group exhibitions in India and the Middle East. The artist uses his own photographs which take new form through the use of textures, filters, patterns and sophisticated techniques reproduced in exclusive or limited-edition canvases.
Over 350 artworks by Vijit are part of the decor at the Radisson Blu Plaza, Hyderabad. There isn’t a signature style or recurring motif that one easily associates with this artist. The fluidity and rhythm that one senses in his paintings reflects his love for music. Hugely inspired by jazz music that he grew up listening to, Vijit says music is the cornerstone of his art.
