Swaraj Das was born in 1983 in Kolkata (India). He passed out from the Government College of Art and Craft in 2006. He has been working as a professional painter for 18 years. After experimenting and having his work exhibited in various galleries in India, he has developed a distinctive colour palette, style and technique. He is known for his remarkable impressionist style in which he can portray any subject. The sense of using space, soft muted colours, strong light, mysterious moods and weather all add up to an original interpretation. People who understand art will know and appreciate the language of his paintings; and the illusion they create remains in the viewerÕs mind and the heart afterwards. With exhibitions in Asia, Europe, Australia and the USA, his work is now becoming more widely known internationally.
