Renuka Sondhi Gulati

Renuka studied Art at Triveni Kala Sangam under the tutelage of Shri Sanjay Roy
and Shri Rameshwar Broota. Her formal qualifications include B.A., B.Ed, M.A.,
Diploma in Textile Design, Senior Fellow, Visual Art.

Renuka’s oeuvre is art in motion. She is a versatile artist. The fluidity of form in her
sculptures, paintings, digital art, and installations merge reality with a mythical
dimension, a futuristic vision that becomes real just by the fact that it's visible through
the artwork.

Nature has always inspired her to experiment with various textures and colors, and
her urge to display feminine power resulted in the woman form as a protagonist in
most of her artwork. Basically, her art links with the environment as also feminism, and
she can be called an ecofeminist.

Amongst many awards she has, the National Senior Fellow from Ministry of Culture
in 2012-14. And also, the recipient of the International Best Sculpture Award at 9th
Art Biennale Malta in 2011.
