Mousumi Biswas

Mousumi Biswas was born in Kolkata in 1978. She completed her Bachelor of Visual Art (painting) from the Govt. College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, (2003) and Masters in Fine Arts (painting) from Kala Bhavan, Visva Bharti, Santiniketan (2005).

Mousumi started her career with realistic figurative paintings, but her oeuvre today is predominantly sculptures. Her sculptures are aesthetically appealing to the viewers. Her choice of colour tones and subjects is one of the most striking features of her artworks. Her preferred choice of medium is fiberglass. The artist lives and works in UP, Noida.
