During her graduate years the works of Heeral Trivedi almost looked like abstract landscapes. At the time she viewed space as a bare stage, only to fill it up again, almost akin to a choreographer working with performers. This tussle between abstraction and figuration is still the most relevant concern for her, knowing well that the abstract is an intrinsic part of any language you work with.

The way she works with the paint and surfaces remains malleable, maintaining the potential to be transformative with multifarious qualities which perhaps are not much in favour within the contemporary art scene.
