Madan Meena

Madan Meena is a practicing visual artist and a researcher working extensively with the rural, nomadic and tribal communities of Rajasthan. The simplicity of rural life in which his roots are embedded has influenced all his artistic facets. As a curator, he designed an exhibition on brooms for the ‘Arna Jharna: The Desert Museum of Rajasthan’, Jodhpur.

Madan continually studies languishing craft traditions practiced by very few aged artisans. His paintings which are contemporary works of a sublime redemption of simple patterns and elements from nature, have been exhibited in more than 25 solo and group exhibitions across India and abroad.
