Gauri Seth

Gauri Seth (BA. LLB) has been painting professionally since 1995. She has had several shows and participated in auctions and fund raisers. Gauri is a self- taught artist. For years her imaginative muse was the face of a beautiful woman.

Gauri says “I believe art should reach out to all strata of society and be touched, felt and used; not just hung on a wall”.

This led her to create ‘functional’ art in the form of hand painted furniture, home and garden décor, like serving trays, coffee table platters, watering cans and vases. Bright colours and design with intricate detailing add to the joie de vivre of her artwork.

Gauri loves the richness of deep yellow, aqua green and red and white stripes. She paints with various mediums and different surfaces like wood, tin, aluminum, paper, canvas and even stones. She creates large, elegant, hand painted pendants. She designs and brings to life, necklaces and statement jewellery pieces.
